Prior to his death in 861 B.C.E, the Sumerian philosopher-turned-occultist Balbimir Shekchadruharazeb postulated that true and correct judgement of any occurrence could only be passed either by an omnipotent being, or by a council of sub-omnipotent beings not subject to a linear experience of time. He was of course correct, for the laws of the universe had accounted for this condition by creating High Council, an entity conceived at the end of time that would grow in power and knowledge as it travelled backward through the space-time continuum.
Things proceeded rather uneventfully for High Council during the next several billion trillion eons until they reached Earth just prior to the Neo-Victorian Cataclysm of 2150 C.E. It was there, during a period colloquially referred to as “Renaissance II: The Revenge”, that they encountered a popular Post-Ballroom dance trend the temporal locals called “The Sweltershock Chad-Thrash”. It seemed as though everyone was doing The Sweltershock Chad-Thrash, and with some research, High Council discovered that this hot dance craze sweeping the land borrowed primarily from a late 20th and early 21st century musical style known as “Heavy Metal”.
High Council was of course intrigued, as their bio-structural makeup consisted of elements of the same classification. Therefore, they constructed guitars out of some spare neutronium and chroniton particles they had laying around, and the rest is post-historical futurism!
