Jefferson Berry & the UAC (short for Urban Acoustic Coalition) is an American rock band based in Philadelphia, performing in the genres of urban folk, jam band, and roots rock. The group is best known for blending the narrative tradition of storytelling with rich instrumental arrangements. Founded and fronted by singer-songwriter Jefferson Berry, the UAC lineup brings together veterans of the Philadelphia music scene, including Bud Burroughs (keyboards, mandolin), Uncle Mike (bass), and Matt Muir (drums, percussion, and production). Their sound is characterized as "urban folk," where acoustic guitar and lyrics reminiscent of Bob Dylan or Tom Petty are complemented by elements of jazz, blues, and rock.
