Бурче КараджаБурче Караджа – современная турецкая пианистка и композитор, известная своими работами в жанре неоклассики. Бурче родилась в 1989 году в Анкаре (Турция). Музыкой начала заниматься с 5 лет. Окончила факультет музыки и исполнительских искусств Университета Билькент (по классу флейты), кроме того обучалась в Государственной консерватории Университета Башкент, а также на отделении композиции Университета Хаджеттепе в Анкаре. Творческий стиль Бурче Караджи сочетает в себе классическую школу с современным минимализмом и неоклассикой. Пианистка часто черпает вдохновение как в своих корнях в целом, так и в анатолийской культуре в частности, создавая глубоко эмоциональные произведения. Бурче часто выбирает для своих выступлений необычные локации – от атмосферных арт-пространств до исторических (зачастую сакральных) зданий, подчеркивая тем самым визуальную и духовную составляющую своей музыки.

Burçe KaracaBorn in Ankara Turkey. Karaca started playing piano at the age of five with the guidance and support of her parents. Upon graduation from Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts - flute class, she was admitted to the Music Theory and Composition department of Başkent University State Conservatory with full scholarship. The year following her admission, she passed the piano department's entrance exams and began studying piano as a joint degree. Karaca graduated first in her class in both departments. A great admirer and performer of the classic piano repertoire, she released her first album 'Moving Along the Blanks' in 2020, which consists of six minimalist - classical contemporary compositions of her own.
Aside from minimalistic style, Karaca also likes to combine classical harmonies with traditional Turkish music. She released a single called Kıyısında as a result of combination.
She released her latest album 'Journey on Rails" which contains eight pieces -two for solo piano, six for the string instruments- all accompanied with piano with one of the most known recording companies in Turkey, "Ada Müzik" .
She is giving concerts around her country in different cities. In some of these concerts, she takes the stage for young artists, the disabled and those in need of assistance. All tickets sold are used for the benefit of people in need.
As a result of her continuing composing journey that has started two years ago, she aims to give lessons to her current students, to produce albums by creating new works and to reach more people by continuing to give concerts.

Info for 'Journey on Rails'Pianist and composer Burçe Karaca takes classical music lovers on a musical journey with her new album, "Journey on Rails." Released under the Ada Music label, the album consists of eight tracks. Burçe Karaca said, "I envisioned it as a journey album that could be listened to from the first track to the last while a train is in motion. I used this train journey as a metaphor and equated the people waiting for passengers at the stations with our expectations in life."
The album, consisting of her own compositions, was created as a result of a four-day retreat at Galata Canavar studios with the support of Zuhal Music. Karaca said, " Initially, I didn't have the idea of making an album by adding string instruments. After my first album, which consisted of pieces I wrote for solo piano, I added cello to the piece "Old Man's Dream," which first appeared on Journey on Rails and is the opening track of this album. As the sounds became richer, the family of instruments added to the pieces also began to grow, resulting in an album where violin, cello, and contrabass are included alongside the piano.”
Each piece tells a story
The album's opening track is "Old Man's Dream." It tells the story of an old man sharing his life experiences with a young person. Petite Melodie: A waltz, a short melody written for solo piano. Magoa: A piece where he first appeared with four instruments, a lament written for quartet. "Magoa," a Portuguese word, means the lines left on your face in response to an event or situation that causes deep sorrow. Alageyik: This adaptation, featuring Anatolian motifs, is a piece I wrote for cello, contrabass, and piano, inspired by the Epic of the Alageyik. Nocturne: A night piece for solo piano, inspired by Chopin's Nocturnes, entirely imbued with 19th-century and Chopin romanticism. Homesick: A duet for contrabass and piano. This piece, carrying Anatolian motifs, incorporates ethnic jazz elements with the contrabass playing without a bow throughout the piece. Symbiosis: A duet for piano and cello. The title of the piece comes from both being a duet and being written in a two-part form. The piano and cello, two separate instruments, transition into a singular life form and progress on a symbiotic relationship.
Journey on Rails: The title track of the album, a trio written for violin, cello, and piano. In this piece, the people waiting for passengers at stations are used as a metaphor to describe our expectations in life.
